My husband requested that I make a piece just for him.

He was watching me come to life in 2024, and he wanted to have something that was just for him. I wanted to use colors that appeared masculine, and yet resembled colors in nature. Orange is his favorite color, and blue is the color of the Colorado sky most days. The golden color reminded me of aspen trees, and the horizontal lines of their stripped bark. I entitled this piece engine and spark, because it seems to accurately descidred us as a team.

Matt brings the grit, the drive, the thoughtful intention of our life and I bring the whimsy, the joy, and the fluidity.
