Great to meet you here!

As I came into my adulthood, I realized there was a part of me that was desperate to breathe out into the world. I had always had a vision of me as an artist, but it felt like a fairytale, unattainable, self-seeking, and far fetched. But, the impulse to create and live more fully was not going anywhere. I had always felt most alive in the cultural hubs of the world: New York City, Milan, Paris, or an art gallery in Jackson Hole. Through some integration work, I came to trust that to be fully alive as God intended me to be, I needed to integrate this messy, carefree, uninhibited, wildly expressive artist into my actual life as a wife, mother, sister and friend.

I picked up a paint brush in January of 2024 with zero intention to be an artist full time. Art pretty much chose me, I just said “Yes” to what was wanting to be alive in me for decades. I have never felt this full of life, or true to my God-given identity as I do when I paint and write about the inner-musings going on in my heart and through story.

I am now living my pipe dream, and it means the whole world to share it with you. Thank you for stopping by, and I’d love to hear from you.

It is a dream to become an artist. Living into my creativity and putting it all out into the world on canvas has become not a luxury in my life, but a necessity. Sometimes, I pinch myself, but then I just keep going - knowing this is just the beginning.

Since I was a young Texas girl, I was acutely aware of my environments and was constantly taking in the colors, textures, style, design, and the feel of various spaces. My mother was an English major, and my father majored in Radio Broadcasting. I frequented fabric stores with my grandmother, Bernie Allyne, and my mom and I enjoyed stationary stores, craft fairs, and antique malls. When I was tasked with dressing for an event, my East Texas mother steered me towards good fashion and unique pieces. There were multiple interior designers in my midst, and every one of my siblings and cousins have a good eye, and can write, draw, or act. I grew up in a cast of colorful characters right under my roof. In college I worked in the Dallas Design District assisting a designer, and running errands to the World Trade Center on her behalf. The theme pulsing through my entire youth and into my adulthood was expression through design, through art, through story telling, traveling, and through writing.
